Beautiful Period Architecture in San Francisco
There is so much beautiful architecture to enjoy in San Francisco, like around the Haight and areas of Richmond. Therer are a lot of really pretty Victorian houses lining the steets and some are quite ornate. Try and imagine what it must have been like here before so many were destroyed in the city's past fires and earthquakes.

The Golden Gate Recreational Area
The Golden Gate Recreational Area covers a vast area around the bridge and is managed by the National Park system. There are a lot of walking trails here and nice views from the Toll Plaza. We walked across the bridge on a pathway beneath the main crowds, and then followed the official Coastal Trail.

San Francisco and the Fisherman's Wharf
There is always a lot going on around the Fisherman's Wharf. Apart from the seafood and restaurants, there is a popular waxworks museum here on Jefferson St, fairground rides and even a resident group of very lazy looking sea lions around the Pier 39.
