When traveling to central San Francisco, take Route 101 and then follow the signs into the city, which is well sign posted. The trip between San Francisco Airport and the city can take as little as 20 minutes, but during the morning and evening rush hours the journey may take over 40 minutes.

San Francisco Airporter buses depart for all destinations from outside the lower level of the baggage claim area and travel into central San Francisco. The buses depart every 12 to 30 minutes and run from 06:20 until midnight.
There are also some private airport shuttle companies that offer a door-to-door service, where you share a van with other passengers.
